Humberto Briceno Leon

Humberto Briceño received his Law degree at the Andrés Bello Catholic University
and a degree in Political and Administrative Science at the Central University of
Venezuela. He earns a Diploma D’Etudes Approfondies (Master) at the Institute of
Political Studies of Paris and a Master in International Law at the Miami University
Scholl of Law. He had been a Visiting Fellow at Yale Law School (Fullbright), at Oxford
UK Center for Socio-Legal Studies, at Lewis & Clark Law School, and adjunct law
professor at Duke School of Law. He served in Venezuela as a Judge of the First Court
in Administrative Litigation and as substitute Justice in the Political-Administrative
Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice. He has been a law professor and researcher
in Venezuela for more than 35 years and has published more than 35 monographs in
Venezuela, Spain, Colombia, and the United States.
